First Responder: - First Responders require either an NHS Ambulance Trust CFR Certificate, a FutureQuals Level 3 Certificate for Ambulance Service First Responders, a Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (FREC 3) or a QA Level 2 Award for Community First Responders (RQF) |
Phlebotomist: - Phlebotomists require an accredited certificate in phlebotomy |
Ambulance Care Assistant + Health Care Assistant - ACAs require either an NHS Ambulance Trust PTS Certificate, a FutureQuals Level 3 Certificate in Ambulance Patient Care or evidence of having completed equivalent quality training in all associated modules - Health Care Assistants require a NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care or higher |
Emergency Care Assistant - ECAs require either an NHS Ambulance Trust ECA/ECSW Certificate, a FutureQuals Level 3 Diploma in Ambulance Emergency and Urgent Care Support (FAQ Level 3), a Level 4 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (FREC 4) or evidence of having completed equivalent quality training in all associated modules |
Combat Medical Technician Level 1, 2 and 3 - Must be in active service as a CMT with the Army, Royal Navy or the RAF as either a Regular or Reserve |
Ambulance Technician (IHCD equivalent or higher) / Associate Ambulance Practitioner: - Technicians require either an IHCD Technician Certificate or an NHS Ambulance Trust EMT Certificate equal to an IHCD Technician, a QA Level 5 Diploma in First Response Emergency and Urgent Care (RQF) or evidence of having completed equivalent quality training in all associated modules - AAP requires a FutureQuals Level 4 Diploma for Associate Ambulance Practitioners |
